Job Goal

Processes supply transactions and to order, receive, store, inventory, and distribute spare parts/supplies/materials/tools for an automotive/school bus/heavy maintenance shop in accordance with established policies and procedures. This is a position where bus driving may be required.

  • Reports consistently for work as scheduled
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
  • Conducts accurate and timely transactions, methods of handling, shelving or bin storage, and maintaining material identification
  • Conducts physical inventories
  • Ensures cleanliness of office, parts, shelves, storage areas, etc.
  • Establishes and monitors specific supply processes and performance measures to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Facilitates the payment of invoices by validating, processing, and inputting receipt information for spare parts and services received
  • Interfaces directly with the bookkeeper/purchase order agent
  • Maintains an organized work area
  • Maintains security of high-risk spare parts/equipment such as tires, high-dollar items, communication items, etc.
  • Meets the essential functions for Bus Driver when operating in that capacity
  • Processes interdepartmental and over-the-counter supply requests; documents movement of all requests through the warehouse facility; rotates inventories, and establishes warehousing procedures
  • Processes supply transactions, orders, receives, stores, inventories, and distributes spare parts/supplies/materials/tools for an automotive/school bus/heavy maintenance shop in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Replenishes inventory daily; researches items on backorder and out of stock
  • Researches vendor products to ensure highest quality materials at most efficient cost
  • Takes direct/corrective actions to address supply issues/problems
  • Transports spare parts and equipment to/from vendors and within the district
  • Verifies delivered items
Required Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Colorado Driver’s License or be eligible at time of application; meet/maintain insurability status in accordance with district standards
Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Colorado Commercial Driver’s License, Type BP2-S (School Bus License) upon employment
If already employed with the district, must be fully qualified and must have no preventable accidents or traffic citations in the last 3 years
Must qualify for district’s Vehicle Operator License Insurance
Must possess an acceptable driving record
Must pass Department of Transportation physical requirements
Ability to operate a service truck upon completion of appropriate training
Must meet all requirements of local, state, and federal regulations for controlled substance testing including pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug and alcohol testing Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

All custodial positions require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to push/pull burdens up to 100 pounds.

All special education positions require the ability to safely lift 50 pounds each in a two person lift.
