SpEd Social Worker (INR)

- Reports consistently for work as scheduled
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
- Experience working with school age children and families preferred
- Provides direct services through individual, small group, family and whole class contacts, as identified through students’ needs
- Monitors student progress toward identified goals and program effectiveness
- Provides written diagnostic evaluations in determining significant and identifiable emotional disabilities for classroom intervention
- Provides written records and data to support effective interventions
- Assists the effective academic and social performance of students through appropriate programming recommendations
- Assists in the development of Individual Education Plans
- Participates in student study screenings
- Ability to work with staff members in a consultative role as an integral part of the team
Teacher: Sped Social Worker:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License
- Ability to accurately assess need and provide a range of appropriate services to students
- Excellent interpersonal skills; skillful communicator with students, staff and parents
- Knowledge of and experience with appropriate interventions
- Excellent organizational and academic skills
- Effective student management skills
- Student centered; Demonstrated success in working with students
- Excellent collaborative/teaming skills

All special education positions require the ability to safely lift 50 pounds each in a two person lift.
